Floating
What is floating?
Floatation therapy, also known as floating, floatation, sensory deprivation, or R.E.S.T (Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy) involves lying in a salt-water solution in a spacious tank that is heated and filled with Epsom salt. Air flows freely in and out and the door never locks or latches. The magnesium-based Epsom salt that we use in the tanks feels wonderful on your skin; we can guarantee no wrinkles!
Our soundproof tanks are about 8′ long and 5′ wide, and hold roughly 10″ of water, which is saturated with 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. Such a high density of Epsom salt in the water creates a solution more buoyant than the Dead Sea allowing you to float on your back without fighting gravity. The water is heated to 94° F; this is skin-receptor neutral. You lose track of where your body ends and the water begins.
Without external stimuli, your body and mind can relax, leading to benefits such as pain relief, muscle relaxation, de-stress and deep rest. The therapy promotes the release of dopamine and endorphins, while blood circulation improves. Unlike lying on a mattress, lying in water allows blood to flow freely all throughout your body. There’s no need to readjust your position to get comfortable. Research shows that about 40 minutes into your float your brain stops producing its normal Alpha and Beta waves and starts going deeper into a Theta and even Delta state.
Why Float?
People float for various reasons, including stress reduction, pain management, meditation and mindfulness, enhanced creativity, improved sleep, and athletic recovery. The weightlessness and absence of external stimuli promote relaxation, alleviate stress, and provide a conducive environment for introspection and problem-solving. Floating can be a valuable tool for overall well-being and is often used by individuals seeking relaxation, mental clarity, and physical rejuvenation.

Our Float Tanks
Our float centre offers two types of float tanks, each with its unique aesthetics. However, once inside, the experience is identical. Preferences vary, with some favoring the cozy feel of the Oasis tank, while others appreciate the added space of the Cabin.
All tanks have ventilation, filtration systems, and speakers for gentle music upon session completion. None of the doors lock, ensuring a secure and relaxed experience.

What People Are Saying
"I recently had my first float experience, and I will admit that I didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival, shoes off and greeted warmly as though we were old friends! The staff were kind and genuinely excited to show their space and share this time together… The community and support in this place is tangible and wonderful! I can't wait to come back!"

“If I could give them 10 stars I would!! It was my first time coming to Zee float and I booked ×2 90min floats in "The Explorer" pod and it was remarkable. I loved the darkness of the pod. I've been to other places but they didn't have different pods to choose from so I really liked that. It was super clean, quiet and unique. You can sit in a cute room to read have some tea or sit in the meditation/gong room. Andrea the receptionist greeted me with such a beautiful smile and was so kind and friendly!!! I definitely recommend this place! It was worth the drive from Brampton!”
